Summary: kate find using textbox instead of combobox (no
                    drop-down for past searches)
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel@kde.org
        ReportedBy: drankinatty@suddenlinkmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Version 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 163"

kate/kwrite "find" dialog doesn't provide a way to access recent search strings
because it does not provide any type of drop-down in the text entry field.
Compare with the "replace" text entry box that does.

See problem entry box in find:

http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/kate-find-no-drop.jpg

See correct entry box in replace:

http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/kate-replace-drop-ok.jpg

It looks like the wrong widget is used in the find dialog. Like find is using a
simple "textbox" while replace uses the correct "combobox"

This makes it a pain when you want to quick search for something you looked at
a few minutes ago. It works fine in KDE3 kate/kwrite, (see:

http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/kate-find-drop-kde3-ok.jpg

) but this feature is broken in KDE4.
