------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161961 Summary: Provide a good set of color schemes in the default distribution (or support VIM's schemes) Product: kate Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org ReportedBy: niels shodan nl Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: GCC OS: Linux Some developers, like me, prefer to use a dark color scheme to save your eyes and battery power. But I've got more machines on which I do development, which means I have to set up color schemes everywhere (it is true, I'm lazy). I've got actually two ideas on this issue: - Providing a few more color schemes, like the ones below, in the default distribution. - Because creating good color scheme's is a hard job it would be an idea to look after supporting VIM color schemes (eg. on the fly or by using a script that mappes fields and creates Kate color schemes). For VIM there is already a huge set of schemes arround, that, when color fields are mapped correctly, can be a huge content-improvement for Kate. http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~maverick/VimColorSchemeTest/index-html.html Possible Kate color schemes to adopt as non-default alternatives: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/zenburn+-+eye-gentle+Kate+color+scheme?content=66209 http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/darK+-+A+Kate+Syntax+Highlighting+Theme?content=53388 http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Coolate+color+scheme+for+KDevelop%2BKate?content=34243 http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Kasandra+-+dark+color+scheme+For+Kate?content=29831 _______________________________________________ KWrite-Devel mailing list KWrite-Devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kwrite-devel
