i cant actually run kate at all, all i get is the following line:

kate: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/lib/libkateinterfaces.so.4: undefined \
symbol: _ZN14KXMLGUIBuilder15createContainerEP7QWidgetiRK11QDomElementRi

that is the full error all in correct case and all (tough to type ;) )
if you want any more info then pleas just ask, in the mean time i'll have to make do \
with kwrite ( which still works btw ) _______________________________________________
