Summary: double click sets the text to find with F3, without
                    hitting ctrl-f first
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: part
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: martin mkoebele de

Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.8-8.el4 Fedora, CentOS release 4.5 (Final))
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-42.ELsmp

I learned to appreciate this feature after working with eclipse:

you double click on a string and you can then hit the search key stroke (i.e. \
[Shift-]F3) to find the next or previous occurrence of the highlighted string. So \
there is no need to copy the highlighted string or to hit Ctrl-f first.

That feature would be so neat to have! Increases productivity by at least 23%!
