           Summary: not greedy regular expression
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kwrite
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: un1c0 email it

Version: 4.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.17-11-generic

I think can be useful that in the search (and replace) dialog can be chosen if
matching is minimal or greedy.

Qt library supports both type of matching: see
http://doc.trolltech.com/3.1/qregexp.html#setMinimal
