Summary: When functions are collapsed, the blue highlight used to
select code does not disappear properly when another
selection is made in the editor
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: fullofgrace88 gmail com

Version: 2.5.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-23-386

During coding, Kate allows us to collapse the code of other functions to allow ease \
of reading. However, after collapsing the code of some other function, the highlight \
that comes from selection of a block of text within the editor does not function \
properly. In particular, if you select one block of text (by dragging and holding \
down the right mouse button), the highlighted selection should disappear if you click \
within the editor after making the selection AND it should also disappear if you go \
on to make another selection. However, this behavior does not happen in the current \
version of KATE from Kubuntu Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS even after package update. \
