Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.1 (Gentoo 4.1.1-r1) 
OS:                Linux

Create a file Foo.java that contains:

/**
 * Foo<Bar
 */
public class Foo {
	public static void main(String[] args) {
	}
}

This is a perfectly valid Java program; it compiles with javac, etc. But, Kate will treat the whole program as an invalid Javadoc comment - highlighting everything in red, etc.

Of course, "Foo<Bar" is not allowed in Javadoc - but it's just a comment. It should not affect anything after the "*/".
