Summary: Would love CTAGS integrated, or at least as a plugin
           Product: kate
           Version: 2.2.1
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: wwoha computer org

Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I would really love to see ctags integrated into Kate or Quanta, or at least added as \
a plugin (I've seen some old references in the email list, but it seem to have been \
abandoned?). This is a very essential tool for large projects, and speeds up dev time \
when you don't have to search through multiple directories to find where a function \
is defined, or to go back and forth.

Latest ctags version have added PHP support, and I've only found it available in \
jEdit, for PHP mode editing.

It would be nice to add it along with some "jump" features, where you can click on \
functions or variables to visit them in their files, and be able to trace back to \
where you started from.

Thanks for the consideration :)
