Version:           the one coming with KDE 3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from:    FreeBSD Ports

After compiling the plug-ins, Kate starts very, very slow.

No plug-ins were enabled before.

The startup time after the installation of the plugins was 8:48 plain CPU time.

I stopped and restarted again and the CPU time rose to over 34 minutes.

I am just doing it for the third time and I reached already 55 mintes CPU time.

I used the plugin compiled from the same archive before with FreeBSD 5.2 without this \
problem. I compiled everything fresh after the upgrade to FreeBSD 5.4.
