           Summary: keywords which expand to predefined pattern
           Product: kate
           Version: 2.4
          Platform: unspecified

          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: trustindevil gmx de

Version:           2.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre3 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12)
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.11-cfinal

Hello,

it would be nice if one can predefine some tags which expand after typing them. E.g. \
if you type cf
kate should write
*==================================================*/
/*!
 *  \class
 *  \brief
 */
/*==================================================*/

and should place the coursor one blank aber \class
There is a add on to Kate called snippet which in some way what I need (I hope I am \
not the only one) but I need to switch to mouse. Not good. Thank you - W. Mader
