Please add some space at the right side of the column count in Kate. When the column \
count increases the number of digits (9-->10, 99-->100), the right part of the status \
bar gets pulled to the right. This means that when you move up and down in a text \
with differently long lines - especially when you are writing a longer paragraph \
where column count may easily become >1000 - the status bar is constantly "moving" \
which is somehow distracting.

A fixed position for the second field ("saved" flag) a few pixels to the right should \
solve the problem. _______________________________________________
