------- Additional Comments From oyvinds everdot org 2005-03-22 23:31 -------
I upgraded to KDE 3.4, now Kate is crap.

When I start kate the first time, I get two kate windows.

But worse: On single-headed systems, opening a file in a terminal with kate file.txt \
opens a new kate window on that desktop (and also opens the file in the existing kate \
window). This means opening files on other desktops means I have to close kate on \
that desktop -- extremely annoying.

But worse: When running dual-head, opening files with kate file.txt from a terminal \
ont he same desktop opens a new kate window.

conclusion: kate is now a pile o dong.
