Dear Daniel Morris,
Checking for existing bugs is good, but this issue is closed. If you find new \
incapabilities, you should file a new issue.
Filing a new issue will also ask for your KDE and Kate version, which you haven't \
stated. You haven't stated which version if perl.xml you are using either.
I can't reproduce any of your problems using what is about to become Kate 2.4/KDE \
3.4, or using the newest 3.3 versions ( the 3.3 branch with all available fixes). I'm \
not completely understanding your 2nd issue. Typing a { or ( will start a foldable \
block ( the left paren only in some cases) but that block will be hidden when ending \
the set on the same line. That is unavoidable, it's the way it works -- when a string \
that is configured a block is found, a block is started, and if the same block is \
ended on the same line, it becomes invisible. \
