Yes, because of popular demand the default was changed to show the popup
automatically. Aditionally, you can press a shortcut to browse completions
seen from cursor point in either direction, in your versions it is likely c-h
for searching up and c-j for searching down, that was changed to c-8 and c-9
because of clash with join lines.
