Something broke in CVS in the last week. Delete is now deleting one extra character \
with kate part from kdevelop. An extra character is deleted only with the Delete key, \
not Backspace. This is true is no selection and wanting to delete a single character, \
two are delete. With a selection an extra character is deleted. This is really \
annoying!

I'm going to try a make clean and full rebuild to see if that helps, but it won't be \
done for a few hours.
