Product: kate
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kwrite
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
ReportedBy: yez home nl
Version: 3.3.91 (using KDE 3.3.91 (beta1), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.2-1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl
Hi,
This wish is not only for KWrite, but for all editfields in any application.
I know that access to typing accents can be arranged by the so called "dead" keys. \
But I use these deadkeys much more often than a letter with a trema, accent-aigu, \
etc. So I want a quote to be printed when only pressed once. So what I like to do is \
to type for example ':a' (without the quotes) or 'a:' and then select these two \
characters and then press RMB. In the menu then appears a menu with the entry 'รค'. \
When selecting the menu-entry, the 2 characters are replaced.
Regards,
Edwin
