The KDE file dialogs are resizable, and will attempt to remember the size you give \
them over invocations. You can hide the preview and quick access bar, which will \
allow you to use a smaller dialog and still bave a reasonable space for files.

You can resize windows in KDE by pressing the ALT key and dragging anywhere in the \
window with the right mouse button (default method).
