I don't know what you mean by "I could edit them as c".

We have had an issue with the  double click selection not respecting language \
specific delimiters, but that has been fixed. If your problem is that double clicking \
selects a line with no spaces, it's been solved.

There is several ways to set a certain highlight type for a file
* in the Hihglights configure panel, edit the mimetypes or extensions for the \
                hihglight you want active for files with a certain mime type or \
                extension
* use a kate variable, ie. add the string "kate: hl HLNAME" to a line near the \
                beginning or end of the file.
* use a file type -- in the "File types" page of the configuration, define a file \
type matching and add the above to it's variable property.

In the next version of kate, kate will look for a file named ".kateconfig" which can \
hold a similar line of text.

Honestly, i don't think there is any bug here. If you agree, please close it - \
otherwise explain the problem so that I can understand it please. \
