Summary: Can't configure the default and .txt editting model.
(Where somehow working with kate 2.2.)
Product: kate
Version: 2.3
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
ReportedBy: nuage ysagoon com
Version: 2.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, \
pie-8.7.6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.25
Hello,
I am editing c-like scripting file which has the .txt extention. With kate 2.2 the \
default behaviour where prefect, and I could edith them like c. But now (v 2.3) I \
can't find a way to edit those .txt like .c or .cpp. For instance, when I \
double-click on a word in parentheses, the whole line is selected instead of the word \
only.
I still can configure each file with the menu Tools->Highlight Mode->Sources->C++, \
and for an obscure reason to me, it remember to keep the C++ highlighting and C-like \
editing when I restart kate. This is currently an usable workaround for me. But I'd \
like to be able to specify the default editing behaviour (and highlighting), or \
per-extention editing (and highlighting) behaviour.
I hope I didn't missed an option!
Thank you,
Luc-Olivier de Charriere
