Summary: Tab settings on a per file type basis
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: sho eikehein com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

I'd like to be able to change the tab settings - whether or not to replace tabs with \
spaces, how many, etc. - on a per file type basis.

I found no way to do this in the "File types" section of the configuration menu. The \
Kate Handbook offers no advice on how to acchieve this.

I suspect the "Variables" input field may allow me to influence the editor's \
behaviour. If this is the case, there's a lack of documentation prohibiting me from \
making use of this capability. _______________________________________________
