I have a PHP-script of ~2300 lines, not that much I think. No matter where in the \
script, if I open a quotation " it takes about 3 seconds till the next typed letter \
is displayed. The same happens when I close the quotation.

This is on a 300Mhz PII with 192 MB RAM.

Also, pressing backspace is a dangerous thing, as it does not delete instantly but \
remembers the iterations, so that when releasing the button it goes on deleting, i.e. \
not stopping instantly after I released the button. \
