Summary: Cannot open file via fish-protocol if file <= 1024 bytes
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: fred.vos uvt nl

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

In kate I cannot open files less than 1025 bytes big. I use ssh to open files on \
other machines. I use kate (from kde 3.3) on a Debian unstable system and I tried to \
open a file on both a SuSE 9.0 Linux system and a Redhat AS. Files up until 1024 \
cannot be opened. Ik looks asif all bytes of the file are read, but fish seems to \
expect more bytes, waits and shows a message that it is stalled. Adding one byte to a \
file of size 1024 bytes makes the problem disappear. \
