To reproduce: 1. In Kate, go to File | Open. 2. In the location bar (at the top of the dialog box), delete what's currently printed there and type any one of the the following 6 lines, then press Enter: fish:test test:// a:a a:// a: a:// a: :// a:: a// a:: // a::// Kate crashes. It does NOT crash for the following input: a a:// a:// ::// a::// (with a single leading space) The About dialog tells me I'm using "Kate 2.2 (Using KDE 3.2.0-0.1 Red Hat)".
