Summary: Page up/down keys don't honor "Wrap cursor" option
Product: kate
Version: 2.1
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel@kde.org
ReportedBy: kde@thibaut-cousin.net
Version: 2.1 (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.2
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-4GB
This problem seems to have appears in KDE 3.1.
Let's say I'm at column 70 in a long line of text. Then I use the Page down key to move to \
another part of the text.
Even if I end up on a short line, the cursor will still be at column 70 (in this example), thus \
ignoring the "Wrap cursor" option. If I start to type something, Kate will create a lot of \
spaces to make the new text start at colum 70. In KDE 3.0, in the same situation, the cursor \
would have automatically returned to the end of the short line.
This is a very spurious behavior. If I activate the "Wrap cursor" option, I expect Kate to \
honor it all the time.
Thanks for your attention!
