I don't know, but as long as we're using UTF-8 I don't see a reason to 
encode characters as entities, UTF-8 can correctly hold them without 
escaping.

Netscape 4.7 works fine (I don't have other browsers either), even lynx 
works :-)

Ok, I assume Jospeh is going to commit it to HEAD.
