https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243208 Summary: Disabling/removing monitors from multihead setup strands windows in old position, out of reach Product: kwin Version: 4.3.2 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: multihead AssignedTo: kwin@kde.org ReportedBy: davidomundo@gmail.com Version: 4.3.2 (using Devel) OS: Linux I often use multihead to connect my laptop to an external monitor. When I disconnect or disable the external monitor, windows that were in the external monitor do not come to the laptop monitor, and are unreachable by mouse. The only way I can retrieve those stranded windows is to select "Move" from the task panel's context menu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect an external monitor, set up multihead (not mirror), and drag windows into the external monitor. 2. Go to display settings and disable the external monitor Actual Results: Windows that were in the external monitor are out of sight, out of reach. Expected Results: Windows that were in the external monitor should be moved into current display space. Additionally, large windows should be shrunk to fit the new display space. This is applicable when: 1. resolution changes to a lower resolution 2. monitor changes to a smaller monitor (eg. large external -> small laptop screen) 3. multihead display changes to a single monitor display -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ kwin mailing list kwin@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kwin
