Summary: "highlite windows" and "present windows" effects show
almost-white window previews in KDE 4.5RC1
Product: kwin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwin@kde.org
ReportedBy: mail@matlechner.de
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Whenever I use the "present windows" (the clone of Mac's Expose) or the
"highlite windows" (using the "Smooth tasks" plasmoid), the preview windows
shown are extremely bleached out, like an overexposed photo: They are almost
completely white; only very big, bold black fonts are vaguely visible and only
very few coloured areas are shown (and this in the wrong colour). Also, the
effects take significantly longer to show than with KDE4.4. In the kwin-effects
settings I use OpenGL in the "Common Memory"(? my own back-translation from
German) and the bilinear texture filter. Other Options show no change in
behaviour. I have a Lenovo T400 laptop with an Intel 4500MHD graphics card.
Reproducible: Always
