What about relying the default on the existence on glsl support?
Is there any known GPU/Driver combo that could actually provide a sane* fps
rate on this effect, yet does NOT support glsl?
*according to google, i900 & 9i50 seem to support programs but not shaders...
:-\ that's gonna bring some "kwin is slow" bugreports =D
