Summary: Multiple Monitors doesn't update to settings in size &
orientation
Product: systemsettings
Version: unspecified
Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_desktop
AssignedTo: kwin@kde.org
ReportedBy: martinstolpe@gmail.com
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
"Size & Orientation" in the "Display" module only recognizes the monitor if I
plug in the monitor before I start the "Display" module in systemsettings. I
don't know if there is a signal which could be used to trigger an update in the
"Size & Orientation" modul when a monitor is plugged in.
One thing which would be really nice though would be if the "Multiple Monitors"
section would get refreshed after one changes the "Size & Orientation"
settings.
If I plug in a monitor and want to setup something in "Multiple Monitors" I
have to do the following steps:
1. plug in monitor
2. go to "Display" -> "Size & Orientation and setup the monitor
3. leave the "Display" module
4. go to "Display" -> "Multiple Monitors" and change settings
I think more convenient would be:
1. plug in monitor
2. go to "Display" -> "Size & Orientation and setup the monitor
3. go to "Multiple Monitors" and change settings
Reproducible: Didn't try
