I saw the patch but guess i missed the discussion and so, just for curiosity:

a) how is this actually different from the "different activity for each 
desktop" feature, i.e. sticking VDs (what is "groups of windows") to 
activities

b) wouldn't it make more sense to have plasma (the activity keeper) auto-
minimize windows (probably not, i'd have to understand a before)

c) why does this use dbus and not some _KDE_ACTIVITY property?

Link to a freenode log or so would be sufficient, thanks.
