           Summary: Inactive opacity redrawing problems
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: compositing
        AssignedTo: kwin@kde.org
        ReportedBy: vivia@autom.teithe.gr

Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I usually have my windows configured to 75% inactive opacity. In this case,
when a window is inactive and therefore 75% opaque, its redrawing is completely
wrong: instead of drawing what's behind the window, it shows what was there
before.

For example, dragging the active window above the inactive one will leave a
trace. However, when I right click the window and set its opacity to another
value than 100% , the redrawing problem is fixed.

On this case, though, the opacity value I select only applies for the active
value. For example, I right click the title bar and select 90% opacity. In this
case, the window's active opacity is 90% but the inactive one remains 75% .

wstephenson@kde.org can reproduce this bug with the latest SVN version. In his
case, opening a new window fixes opacity for the corrupted inactive ones, but
not in mine.
