Summary: OpenGL application jerky with composite-enabled kwin
with Ubuntu stock ATI fglrx drivers
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwin kde org
        ReportedBy: nct ysagoon com

Version: (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Although I think that it is perhaps not your fault, I report the bug anyway here as I \
do not see where to report else. I'm testing KDE 4.1 beta 2 on a Ubuntu 8.04 host \
using stock ATI fglrx drivers for accelerated 3d. Composited desktop works fine \
(albeit there seems to be some harmless uninitialized texture memory that shows funny \
images), but OpenGL applications, such as glxgears, are jerky; there seems to be some \
refresh fighting between kwin and glxgears. It happens all the time, but it happens \
more when I type. I guess there is some unwanted double refresh, wrongly blanked \
texture memory, or a bug in the driver.

Hopefully you can fix this in your side. Good luck with the X accelerated stuff mess. \
Have a nice day, _______________________________________________
