Right now, with the latest kde from trunk, and with nvidia driver
169.12, my system, when logging in with a fresh config directory
(.kde4 in my case), tells me that I have no composite or damage
extensions enabled, while my Xorg.0.log tells me otherwise. So I can't
test this at the moment, although this is an unrelated problem, of 
course.
