glxinfo crashes here too:

$glxinfo -i
name of display: :0.0
X Error of failed request:  GLXBadContext
  Major opcode of failed request:  162 (GLX)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
  Serial number of failed request:  26
  Current serial number in output stream:  26

I also wasn't able to get Compiz working yesterday at all.  If I tried \
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT then it segfaulted, and without it there was:

compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
