Summary: Strange graphics bugs when disabling desktop effects
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwin kde org
        ReportedBy: diafero arcor de

Version: revision 754176 (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2)

When disabling desktop effects, I get strange graphics bugs: First of all, the screen \
is completely grey, but it doesn't even get repainted correctly. After minimizing a \
window, the desktop background is correct, but after opening and closing the \
application launcher menu (or the desktop context menu), there's again a grey \
rectangle. When drawing a border on the desktop with the mouse, it can be drawed \
above the panel at the bottom, and instead of the panel I see the desktop background. \
After logging out and in, it's ok again. When I first enable and then disable desktop \
effects during the same session (which was started with desktop effects disabled), no \
problem occurs - it's only visible when I started the session with desktop effects \
enabled. My graphics drivers are the nvidia binary ones, version 100.14.19.
