I'm having the same issue on 3.5.7 using full screen mode in dosbox.  I \
guess this is a feature of kwin in that it is trying to adjust to new \
modes, but perhaps 1) it should only do this when a kde app initiates the \
resolution change (e.g. the resolution applet or changing the resolution on \
startup), and/or 2) it should be a toggle.  I would actually prefer that my \
desktop always be the size of the virtual desktop and that changing the \
resolution only acts as a "zoom" feature.  (i.e. I would turn the toggle \
suggested by 2) off.) _______________________________________________
