------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148139 Summary: Randomly, Java windows are created in rolled up mode Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kwin kde org ReportedBy: cesar.martinez iver es Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Using Java 1.5 under KDE, windows are randomly created in rolled up mode (only the title bar is shown). Then, if we click on the window's kwin menu, we can see that the "rolled up" feature is selected. If we de-select this feature, sometimes the window gets correctly restored, but sometimes it remains rolled up (and sometimes the window decorations disappear and the window contents gets maximized, filling the full screen). The problem can be triggered using the latest version of our application: http://www.gvsig.gva.es/fileadmin/conselleria/images/Documentacion/descargas/ficheros/11/gvSIG-1_1-rc1-linux-i586.bin (for Linux) or http://www.gvsig.gva.es/fileadmin/conselleria/images/Documentacion/descargas/ficheros/11/gvSIG-1_1-rc1-windows-i586.exe (for Windows). It requieres JAI and Java Image I/O libraries to be installed on the top of Java 1.5. We didn't have this problem with Java 1.4, so probably it's a Java 1.5 bug, but I wanted to know the opinion of KWin developers. The problem does not happen in Windows or Gnome. By the way... is there a way to disable the rolled-up mode? That would be a useful workaround, because I don't expect any quick response from Sun... _______________________________________________ Kwin mailing list Kwin@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kwin
