------- Additional Comments From michael.mess macd com 2007-04-05 12:32 -------
This is the output what I get from xwininfo -all compared to each other.
Note that I xxxxx-ed out some unimportant Information for confidential reasons.
The "fenster-defekt.txt" containes the output for a defective window (only the Window \
decoration from kwin is visible), and "fenster-ok.txt" contains the output for a \
normal window (window decoration and contents is visible).

Sometimes the contents of the window is visible for a very short time (some \
milliseconds) and then dissappears.

Here is the complete output from xwininfo -all for the defective window:

xwininfo: Please select the window about which you
would like information by clicking the
          mouse in that window.

  Someone wants these events:
      KeyPress
      KeyRelease
      ButtonPress
      ButtonRelease
      EnterWindow
      LeaveWindow
      PointerMotion
      ButtonMotion
      Exposure
      StructureNotify
      FocusChange
      PropertyChange
      ColormapChange
      OwnerGrabButton
  Do not propagate these events:
  Override redirection?: No

  Window manager hints:
Client accepts input or input focus: No

  Normal window size hints:
      User supplied location: 420, 463
      Program supplied location: 420, 463
Program supplied size: 552 by 90
Program supplied minimum size: 552 by 90
Program supplied maximum size: 552 by 90
      Program supplied window gravity: NorthWestGravity
No zoom window size hints defined

  No window shape defined
  No border shape defined

I think that it should be possible to fix that problem in the window-manager without \
breaking other things.

Greetings,

Michael
