Summary: debug output on other / flip / back / side of window
Product: kwin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwin kde org
ReportedBy: csights fastmail fm
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
It would be cool if the "backside" of GUI application windows could be
(configured?) to show the program's stdout, stderr, or other debugging info.
Many GUI apps use a console app to get their work done and it would be
interesting and useful to put that input/output on the backside of the GUI
application. e.g. k3b a "debugging output" button which can displays the
command line inputs and outputs to growisofs, kplayer (or kmplayer?) has a
similar mode which displays mplayer interaction. It would be cool just to
flip the app over to see this info.
Thanks,
C.
