1. this is allready possible (and task of style/deco developers)
2. qt4 provides a cleaner(?) way to do so by allowing to attach a widget 
attribute for the brushed metal appereance (it's by default only used on 
Qt/Mac, but nothing prevents us from doing the same)

if you want apps to start in completely different styles (e.g. use plastik for 
all apps and baghira only for konqueror) use e.g. "konqueror --style baghira"
works with all kde apps some Qt3 and all Qt4 apps (as long as they don't use 
their own style engine like e.g. Opera)
