while testing kde 3.2b2 i've noticed that the new kwin
feels much slower while dragging windows then metacity
(using slackware 9.1)

i'm not totally sure why, but changing the owner_event
parameter of XGrabPointer in Client::startMoveResize()
from False to True solved it for me - it feels now
just as fast as metacity

i think that with owner_event set to False the client
misses a few events (probably while notifyEnter/Leave
are generated), but i don't see which events...

anyway, you might want to try it
