I noted this because KDE users so far are the only ones to report issues with
the client.  While testing it, I noted that kwin does what I thought to be the
correct thing in regards to minimized windows, whereas with the maximized case,
the window was never mapped prior to receiving the event.

(This was especially hairy because the OpenGL code in the game engine assumed
that there REALLY was a window to draw on.)  To work around this, I had to
placed some additional code in my fastpath to manually map the window during a
resize event. (It is hard to remake an OpenGL context during a resize event when
the window isnt mapped :-)) So... I have a workaround.  However, it seems that
only KDE needs this specific workaround.  That is the reason for the report.
