Open a any window, maximize it.
switch desktop, and then restore from the toolbar.

You will not that a show event is NOT sent to the client application before the \
resize event is sent.  At this point switching to the desktop to view the window \
STILL does not deleiver a show event.

It should be noted that minimizing the window and restoring does sent the correct \
event show events, as does simply switching desktops normally. \
