Hi,

I have been aware of the 'annoying' ALT-selects menu feature in Qt, so there's 
a little feature I added to KDE 3.+ to counteract this. You must be using one 
of the KDE styles in order to disable this though. (eg, Keramik, Highcolor, 
B3 etc.. )

In your ~/.qt/kstylerc add the following line to the [Settings] group:

MenuAltKeyNavigation=false

This should help.
