I could imagine something like the following:
User is in VPL mode, and does some stuff. In the background the text is 
adapted accordingly. If the user now clicks UNDO in VPL mode the same undo 
action should take place in the source code, to somehow keep VPL and source 
code in sync.

Probably Andras can give a better answer ;)
