I've done/am doing some of that--I see some of the useful functions I need (and some not as useful, imho)... I was looking for a way (from dcop) (and for now, in kate 2.2 (kde 3.2/Mandrake 10)), to search within a selection. The closest thing I found so far is the function findStringAt which I can use to start a search at the beginning of a selection, then, on success, check to see if the match occurred within the selection. Is there a better way? BTW, if the answer is obvious (or somewhat obvious ;-) in the the link you provide below, no need to reply, I'm sure I'll find it. > Other possibilities are the "External Tools", and in kde 3.5 JavaScripting, > see http://www.kate-editor.org/index.php/Main_Page And thanks for this! regards, Randy Kramer _______________________________________________ Ktexteditor-devel mailing list Ktexteditor-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/ktexteditor-devel
