Hi there,

At the moment I am trying to diagnose a couple of issues in 3.6.0 for MacOS. There were a couple of \
problems with the 3.6.0 dmg. Sorry about that, I was hoping to have a testing or beta period and to \
diagnose and solve any problems before we posted it as a release. Unfortunately, the release happened \
just before I went on a two week vacation and I was away from my computer on vacation so I couldn't \
investigate any issues at that time. (Plus I needed to actually have a vacation) I started working on \
them when I could after I got back. Now I am back at work, but I do still have some time in the evenings \
to try to fix some issues. The 3.6.0 on stellar mate or linux in general should hopefully be good I \
think. The Find Object crash seems to affect more than just MacOS, but that is where it first came up. \
I investigated that and hopefully found a temporary solution to that. I am currently trying to \
investigate the crash on startup now. I think I tracked the issue down to some problem with the \
asteroids.dat file in the data directory. I'm not sure if it is an actual issue with the file or with \
kstars reading the file yet, but I'm working on it. Sorry about the delays. I am hoping to resolve this \
fairly soon.

Thanks,

Rob
