Hi there,

At the moment I am trying to diagnose a couple of issues in 3.6.0 for MacOS. There \
were a couple of problems with the 3.6.0 dmg. Sorry about that, I was hoping to have \
a testing or beta period and to diagnose and solve any problems before we posted it \
as a release. Unfortunately, the release happened just before I went on a two week \
vacation and I was away from my computer on vacation so I couldn't investigate any \
issues at that time. (Plus I needed to actually have a vacation) I started working \
on them when I could after I got back. Now I am back at work, but I do still have \
some time in the evenings to try to fix some issues. The 3.6.0 on stellar mate or \
linux in general should hopefully be good I think. The Find Object crash seems to \
affect more than just MacOS, but that is where it first came up. I investigated that \
and hopefully found a temporary solution to that. I am currently trying to \
investigate the crash on startup now. I think I tracked the issue down to some \
problem with the asteroids.dat file in the data directory. I'm not sure if it is an \
actual issue with the file or with kstars reading the file yet, but I'm working on \
it. Sorry about the delays. I am hoping to resolve this fairly soon.

Thanks,

Rob
