You mean "Schwassmann-Wachmann 3"?
This fragments are real. See:

I think you are using old ephemerides? You can fetch updated ones on
http://mpcreader.sourceforge.net/
Just download the files (asteroids.dat and comets.dat) and copy them
into your .kstars directory (~/.kde4/share/apps/kstars).
