To test cfitsio features, you just need to get an image file in FITS format, and use the open command (Ctrl+O or File|Open FITS...) to load it into the image viewer. Then you can view and edit the image, look at its header information (a list of metadata stored in the FITS file), and save it to disk again. I've placed an example FITS image of M 51 here: http://www.30doradus.org/kstars/m51_dss.fits.gz This is from the Digitized Sky Survey, so it's from a photographic plate taken in the early 20th century...it's amazing that this remains the only all-sky optical imagery available today... regards, Jason On Monday 22 October 2007 05:04:16 am Saro Engels wrote: > Hi all, > Yesterday I built cfitsio with the mingw toolchain[1] I use for windows > and today I tried to build kstars with cfitsio; > This doesn't work atm but I hope I get it done today. > > My other question is: > How can I test the features of kstars that depend on cfitsio? > > greetings > SE > > [1] > http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/kdesupport/kdewin32/emerge/portage/win32libs-sr >c/cfitsio-src/ patches that I had to apply > _______________________________________________ > Kstars-devel mailing list > Kstars-devel@kde.org > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kstars-devel _______________________________________________ Kstars-devel mailing list Kstars-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kstars-devel
